Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) has launched an initiative that aims to establish volunteer culture and contribute in achieving the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
“Mobily’s Award for Volunteer Work” is in line with the company’s leading role in social responsibility programs through supporting society and leading initiatives that aim to enrich the spirit of goodness in the holy month of Ramadan.
The best volunteer teams will receive prizes worth half a million ($133,300) and their work will be documented on all social media platforms, Mobily said.
The campaign covers volunteer activities in all regions of the Kingdom, with participants having 14 volunteer works in different fields to choose from.
Mobily said winners will be chosen on the basis of the most retweets and likes for the videos posted by the participants. Cash prizes will be distributed in a ceremony after Ramadan. There are also daily prizes for participants through voting.
Mohammed Saad, director branding sponsorship & activation, said: “The popularity of this campaign has exceeded our expectations, with views for the introductory videos reaching over half a million. There were a large number of applicants and we chose only 14 teams as per our plan. The great campaign turnout indicates that volunteer work culture is already widespread in Saudi society and that Mobily is playing an important social responsibility role.”
The campaign will run until the end of Ramadan.
