Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) hosted a number of DSCA children on the occasion of the World Down Syndrome Day.

Their tour included an interaction with Managing Director Khalifa Al-Shamsi, CEO Ahmad Farroukh, and a number of Mobily’s executives.

Gifts were distributed to create joy and cheerfulness in the children’s hearts.

Mobily and DSCA tweeted through their official accounts on Twitter, which reflects the prominent role of the company toward social responsibility.

Mobily previously cooperated with DSCA by sending SMS messages to its subscribers in an effort to introduce the society with Down syndrome and to alleviate the suffering of the affected members of the community, especially children, and integrate them as part of the society.

The Down Syndrome Children Association (DSCA) made special efforts to mark the World Down Syndrome Day, which was observed on March 21, to raise awareness about the disease and to communicate with the public about the ways and means of dealing with such people of special needs.

The DSCA is currently offering education and training for the children who suffer from Down syndrome. It has established a national training center for the training of instructors and teachers in matters related to rehabilitation of Down syndrome victims and cases associated with it.

Mobily says it gives priority in supporting the programs of charity associations as part of its CSR programs either by sending free awareness SMS messages to its subscribers or through its official channels in social networking sites, in cooperation with a number of charity associations in the Kingdom.
