Madinah Development Authority (MDA) and Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) have signed a cooperation agreement allowing Mobily to develop the infrastructure of the central zone by providing the latest telecommunications services and information technology for 10 years.

The signing ceremony took place in the premises of the governorate of Madinah in the presence of Prince Faisal bin Salman, governor of Madinah and chairman of the MDA, and Mobily’s MD & CEO Khalid Al-Kaf. The signing ceremony was attended by a number of officials and executives from Mobily.

Following this agreement, Mobily will develop and upgrade the readiness of the infrastructure of the city of Madinah to accommodate modern and sophisticated technical applications, as well as business systems for the targeted areas in the city as per different practical and feasible scenarios for each individual project. This includes implementation mechanism and service delivery.

The MDA will provide all necessary protection and support for Mobily’s investments within the limits of its responsibility.
