Mobily has announced the launch of 2014 Apps Developers Award for the fourth consecutive year.

Many prizes are allocated for this contest in a move aimed to bring together all those interested in the world of applications and from different platforms under one roof.

“We will start receiving all participants’ applications in the competition on Aug. 3 until the end of Aug. 10 through the dedicated website,” the company stated.

Twenty apps will be nominated after a voting process that will determine the winners. The first winner will win an amount of SR100,000, second winner SR70,000, third winner SR50,000, fourth winner SR 30,000 and the fifth winner SR20,000.

Mobily has organized a variety of events for app developers, notably a competition held on an annual basis, at the Application Forum that aims to build applications and software for mobile phone compatibility with the Islamic and Arab identity and review the most successful models in this area.

Mobily earlier launched Mobily developers community activities — Application Developers Club — in Riyadh, described as the first of its kind in the region. It provides an opportunity for developers to be creative and innovative through training courses held on a regular basis and by providing all necessary tools to work applications.

Many specialist workshops are held for the developers, which help to create the most suitable environment in the Kingdom for those interested in the world for applications.

Mobily organized training courses and workshops, including Android Day, which aims to encourage app developers and instill the spirit of competition among them.

The previous versions of the award have received considerable attention by developers and those interested in applications both professionals and amateurs, who found a suitable environment and care for their interests and talents.

Mobily has adopted over 100 applications for mobile phones compatible with the values ​​of Saudi society, which include Islamic, entertainment, health care and games applications.
