Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) signed an agreement with the General Directorate of Education to provide high-speed Internet for the Eastern Province (EP) schools. The move is aimed to develop knowledgeable society and provide educational facilities with smart solutions.
The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Ismail Al-Ghamdi, chief business officer, and Abdulrahman Almodaires, GM of education in the province.
Accordingly, Mobily will provide the EP schools with Internet services, in line with the latest technologies along with alternative plans, thus schools remain connected with a continuous high-speed Internet. This service is considered as priority to the Directorate of Education in order to implement many urgent improvements in the educational process.
Al-Ghamdi noted that Mobily is proud to offer high-speed Internet services to the EP’s schools and Mobily will harness its technical capabilities in the service of the Kingdom’s education sector, and it has become necessary for the educational community to enrich the educational process with the latest technologies to get the information and convey it to students quickly and easily.
This process comes in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030 that aims to build a vivid community that empowers its sons and builds up their personalities through the development of the educational system.
The business sector in Mobily offers a variety of services for both the public and private sectors. Such services are represented in the Internet services, whether moving through 4G network or fixed through FTTH network, besides information security and business continuity services which protects systems against electronic attacks, in addition to advanced IT services such as a device for M2M and cloud computing services.
