Mövenpick Hotel Al Khobar, commended for its continuous commitment to the local community, recently concluded a two-day blood donation campaign under the supervision of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, King Fahad Specialist Hospital, Dammam. Attended by members of hotel management and staff, the meaningful cause was organized to give back to the local community and make a difference in someone’s life.

“The blood donation campaign is one of the many corporate social responsibilities we drive here in our hotel,” said Hussain Al-Mowail, Human Resource Manager of Mövenpick Hotel Al Khobar. “We recognize the importance of this activity as it not only saves lives of critically ill patients, but also reinforces the spirit of volunteerism in serving the community where we belong.”

Markus Marti, general manager of the hotel, added, “It is very heartening to see such a large turnout from across the hotel teams. I would like to commend everyone for their participation and willingness to save lives. This blood donation campaign further reaffirms our principles of thinking beyond just business and contributing to the people around us. We intend to hold this activity regularly and encourage more people to get involved. We are also hoping to inspire others to follow our initiatives in adding value to society and humanity at large.”

Supporting the community in Saudi Arabia has always been part of Mövenpick Hotel Al Khobar’s driving values. Aside from organizing blood donation campaigns, the hotel also conducts feeding programs, facilitates hotel tours for students, welcomes orphans and implements a unique training program for Saudi employees called the Mövenpick Saudi Development Centre.
