Oman’s artists and designers are being invited to create a new First and Business class amenity kits for Oman Air.
The winning designs will offer Oman Air’s premium customers an ideal collection of amenities, including toiletries and grooming products, within a bag or box which expresses the very best of Omani culture, creativity and innovation.
Invitations were issued to Omani craftsmen registered with the Public Authority of Handicrafts, members of Sidab Women’s Group and Omani members of the Omani Society for Fine Arts, which is affiliated with the Diwan of Royal Court.
The design competition was formally launched at a press conference held in Muscat. The event was attended by Oman Air’s EVP Products and Brand Development Abdulaziz Al-Raisi and EVP Corporate Services & Business Development Abdulrazaq Al-Raisi, besides a number of other senior officials.
They described the nature of the challenge, the timescale for the competition and the important part that Oman Air’s amenity kits play in the premium passenger experience. They also invited designers to view an accompanying exhibition of previous and current amenity kits, and to gain an insight into the anticipated specifications of the new designs.
The competition will be judged by an expert panel drawn from a range Oman Air’s departments.
Abdulaziz Al-Raisi commented: “Oman Air is delighted and honored to invite the cream of Omani artists and designers to create our new First and Business Class amenity kits.
“The kits will not only enrich Oman Air’s inflight hospitality, but will also showcase Omani craftsmanship and creative innovation upon the world stage.
