The National Water Corporation (NWC) and Panda have recently launched a joint campaign aimed to spread awareness on the preservation and rationalization of water use within their second stage of a joint cooperation deal signed between the two parties in May 2014.

The campaign contains intensified awareness messages touching on a series of information and facts related to water situation in the Kingdom in addition to a package of solutions and recommendations aimed to minimize irrational water consumption behaviors.

The campaign will post a number of messages and ad boards in all Panda, Hyper Panda, and Pandati markets Kingdomwide as well as other media, including print and digital media.

Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Miseibih, CEO of corporate identity and communications at NWC, said the joint awareness campaign is the first of its kind in terms of multiplicity of media and diversity of awareness contents. The company continues to bring its messages to a variety of categories in the society, he said.

Ahmed Omar Manshi, CEO of marketing and development at Panda Co., said the current campaign is aimed to enlighten millions of Panda’s customers on the importance of preserving water in light of the growing number of Panda’s visitors who are crossing the mark of 450 million annually.

The sponsorship and support of the campaign comes as part of Panda’s commitment and responsibility toward the community, he said.

The joint deal between NWC and Panda Retail Co., a subsidiary of Savola Group, is the first of its kind in the area of water rationalization campaign and meant to exploit Panda markets, over 370, to send messages to public in a bid to minimize water consumption.

The deal represents the initiative of Panda awareness program (my environment … my friend), which was launched in 2013 in fight against pollution and for spread of environment awareness among community members.
