Oman Air has announced the appointment of a new general sales agent (GSA) for Spain and Portugal.

Summerwind GSA, with more than 25 years of experience in the commercial aviation sector, has been selected as Oman Air's representative for the territories of the Iberian Peninsula.

“We welcome Summerwind GSA to represent Oman Air in Spain and Portugal, and look forward to their support in helping Oman Air to increase sales within this important market,” Abdulrazaq Al-Raisi, chief commercial officer for Oman Air, said.

“The appointment of Summerwind GSA will ensure easy access for Spanish and Portuguese customers to Oman Air’s products and services, together with the airline’s highly competitive fares, as well as signaling the carrier’s commitment to expanding its presence to include all European markets as important points of sale for its international network,” Al-Raisi added.

The airline also flies to a growing range of destinations, including 10 in India and three in Pakistan, as well as Male, Colombo, Kathmandu, Chittagong, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur. In Africa, Oman Air serves Cairo, Dar-Es-Salaam and Zanzibar, while in the Middle East, Oman Air flies to Madinah, Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Manama, Kuwait, Doha, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Amman, Beirut and Tehran. Domestic routes include services between Muscat, Salalah and Khasab.
