As part of its local responsible business activities, Radisson Blu Hotel, Dhahran recently signed a MoA (memorandum of agreement of collaboration) with Saudi food bank Eta'am.

This agreement aims to redistribute surplus food — food that has not been consumed on the buffet, not leftovers from banquets and events held in the hotel and distribute to the less fortunate. A dedicated hotel team member oversees the procedure to ensure strict compliance with hygiene and food safety measures before and during the distribution.

Moncef Dridi, GM, Radisson Blu Hotel Dhahran, commented: "This is a great opportunity for us to give back to the community and we are looking forward to working closely with Eta'am. This humanitarian initiative brings us closer to the local society and also to our clients and business partners who share our company's strategy in helping preserve the planet's resources"

The executive director of Saudi Bank Eta'am in the Eastern Province Abdullah Nasser Thunayan expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to Radisson Blu Hotel, Dhahran for its cooperation and commitment. During the signing, he briefly introduced Saudi Food bank which was established in 1432 H.

The aim of the establishment is to collect quality meals, which are not touched during events, at the hotel. The type of food that is distributed is limited only to those items that are completely safe.

Radisson Blu Hotel, Dhahran has an annual responsible business calendar, which includes activities such as beach cleaning, tree planting, sponsoring local social charity events in addition to its ongoing energy saving policy in line with the Carlson Rezidor Hotels Group’s Think Planet initiative in Saudi Arabia and worldwide.
