Residents and weekend visitors in Jeddah are in for a new lunchtime treat with the introduction of a new midday dining concept at the Rosewood Corniche.

The Rosewood Corniche introduced the Saturday Market to its Habsburg restaurant on Sept. 6. Every Saturday, hotel guests and visitors are invited to select fresh foods from a variety of market stations and watch the team of chefs prepare their food at live cooking stations.

The new cooking concept provides diners with the opportunity to see how fresh their meals are, selecting prime cuts of beef, fish and poultry, before they watch the art and skill, which goes into perfectly cooking their dish.

Overlooking the Corniche and the Red Sea, the Habsburg team of chefs combines cooking styles from throughout the Middle East, the Far East and Europe, offering guests a true array of international customs and experience.

“Food plays a vital role in a great, memorable weekend and this new concept is sure to be buzzing with atmosphere as the kitchens come alive,” said Hans-Peter Leitzke, MD at Rosewood Corniche.

Guests can expect an array of fresh fruit, salad, tapas, dim sum, chicken, beef and cheese stations to choose from. The market experience allows diners to talk to the chefs, seek their advice on particular ingredients, and discover how various dishes such as tapas and dim sum creatively come together.

Freshly made drinks are available from the seasonal fruit station which allows guests to watch their drinks come together from selected fruits. Strong favorites include The Cherry Cooler and Banana Smoothie.

At The Salad Station, guests can select fresh, crisp lettuce, mushrooms, shrimp, olives and dressing. The items will then be places into a shaker to ensure that each piece is coated evenly.
