Gartner, a global research and advisory company, has ranked SABIC among the top five petrochemical/agribusiness companies for supply chain excellence, recognizing the company’s outstanding performance in various aspects of supply chain management during 2014.

The US-based Gartner Inc., which publishes its Supply Chain Top 25 rankings annually, has ranked SABIC among those large manufacturers, retailers and distributors that demonstrate leadership in applying demand-driven principles to their global supply chains.

SABIC figures fifth in the ranking of petrochemical companies. Gartner Inc is the world’s leading supply chain and information technology research and advisory company.

SABIC has also achieved the distinction of winning 63rd position among all global companies in various industries in supply chain excellence. This is the first time in 11 years of the Gartner ranking that a Middle East company has figured in the distinction list.

The Gartner ranking is made up of two main components: financial and opinion. The SABIC brand continues to gain traction with positive recognition from customers, suppliers, peers and industry analysts.
