Ugandan Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Wilson Muruli Mukasa reviewed the status of his country’s housemaids recruited by Saed Group. This is said to be within the framework of inspection tours to determine employment conditions of Ugandan work force internationally.
The minister met with Ahmad Mohammad Abdul Karim, MD and CEO of Saed Group during his recent visit to the Kingdom.
Accompanied by a Ugandan delegation, Mukasa discussed the policy and procedures of the group in the matter of recruitment of domestic workers, in addition to the development of frameworks for cooperation and protection of their rights.
Later, the Ugandan minister met with a group of Ugandan housemaids who were recruited by Saed Group to hear their experiences in Saudi Arabia.
Most of the housemaids expressed their comfort in working in the Kingdom and thus making their dreams come true.
They also praised the role of Saed Group in making the life of housemaids easy and comfortable, and said they were not subjected to any kind of harassment or racism.
The Ugandan delegation and officials of Saed Group discussed the latest developments in the field of recruitment in Saudi Arabia and the new procedures of recruiting more trained housemaids from Uganda for serving Saudi families.
The minister and his delegation expressed their admiration for the highly professional procedure of the Saudi recruiting company within the framework of the regulations and agreements, as well as the level of automation systems and its concern for the safety and care of workers.
