Saffron, an authentic Indian dining restaurant, located on Prince Mohamed bin Fahd Street and adjacent to Sheraton Dammam, is hosting a festival of kebabs and biryani under the guidance of new Executive Chef Chandra Prakash.
Starting from Thursday (Nov. 28), the festival will delight the residents of Eastern province for the next 10 days with a variety of kebabs and biryanis from different regions of India.
The restaurant will offer a specially designed promotional menu during the festival, which will take the guests to a journey through the diverse Indian cuisine.
The feast starts with sunehri jhinga (succulent prawns marinated in lemon extract, finished in tandoor), reshmi kebab (minced chicken flavored with Indian spices skewered in tandoor), Turkesh-e-mahi (chunks of fish marinated in traditional mustard paste finished in tandoor), murgh malai kebab (chicken marinated with yoghurt, pepper corns and cheese finished with fresh cream), and gilafi seek kebab (minced mutton marinated with home made garam masala and cheese coated with bell pepper, onion and tomato skewered and cooked in tandoor).
Biryani lovers can choose from murgh Afghani biryani, Hyderabadi chicken/lamb biryani, chicken tikka biryani, mughalai murgh biryani, Lucknowi chicken/lamb biryani, Malabar lamb biryani, Kacche gosht ki biryani, Kabuli chaney ki biryani, etc.
