Saudia Aerospace Engineering Industries (SAEI) has adopted Microsoft’s Yammer Social Network Solution to provide the company’s employees with a private social network that offers an interactive environment and communication.

SAEI, claimed to be the largest MENA-based MRO, is in Jeddah since 1959 and has its presence in all Saudi domestic airports and over 26 international airports. It provides commercial and business aircraft, component and jet engine maintenance and overhaul to a wide variety of airframes. SAEI’s headcount totals over 5,000 employees.

Nader Khalawi, MD, SAEI, said: “The team consisting of SAEI IT and Microsoft are actively working to prepare us for the introduction of Yammer on Nov. 14. The launch will take place at SAEI headquarters in Jeddah. Our employees will be able to connect from any of our locations eventually. The introduction of Yammer is part of the major cultural change taking place in SAEI giving employees direct access to each other and especially to their management using the enterprise social solution that also offers the ability to share content on other social networks.”
