Schneider Electric, a global specialist in energy management, announced it will focus on the key end-user benefits of its smart grid solutions at the Saudi Arabia Smart Grid Conference and Exhibition (SASG 2013) scheduled from Nov. 24-27 in Jeddah.

In the exhibition hall, Schneider Electric aims to promote its decentralized self-healing grid solutions, along with its advanced distribution management system (DMS).

As part of its participation at the conference, Frederic Dillemann, feeder automation business development manager, Schneider Electric France, will highlight the issue of power outages and share perspectives on self-healing MV grid solutions for significant and quick reduction of end-users’ outages.

One of the region’s leading events in smart grid and the integration of renewable energy resources to the electric network, SASG 2013 is anticipated to bring together over 400 industry leaders and speakers from the MENA region’s government sector, as well as the scientific, business and technology community.

The technology reduces restoration time to just 30 seconds, offering consumers highly improved and sustainable power availability. It is a decentralized alternative to a DMS system or complementary to an existing SCADA/DMS system.

Schneider’s advanced DMS solution, which will also be showcased at the event, effectively combines distribution management (DMS), outage management (OMS) and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems.
