Shairco for Trading, Industry & Contracting held a fiberglass products' presentation in Jeddah recently, highlighting utilities of some of the GRP (glass reinforced plastic) products.

GRP is free from erosion and corrosion, very strong and durable, light, flexible, fire retardant, thermally and electrically insulated, resistant to impact and fatigue, has high aesthetic appearance and be molded to exciting finish. These qualities make GRP perfect solution in all fields — construction, industry, aviation, marine, automotive, electrical, institutional and domestic.

Speakers discussed that GRP corrugated sheets manufactured by a continuous lamination process controlled at all levels of production by CNC could achieve the optimum performance of the product.

The sheets are composed of glassfiber reinforcement and polyester resins. They are weather resistant and have excellent mechanical strength, wide range of colors and design flexibility of profiles, and their other features include easy installation, corrosion resistant, UV resistant and fire-retardant and maintenance free.

The sheets are used for roofing, cladding, panels, industrial buildings, commercial buildings and stadiums.
