As part of its preparations for the upcoming Haj, Saudi Telecom Company (STC) has increased the international telecom network to 195,000 circuits. They are operating between Saudi Arabia and all Arab and Islamic countries, and the rest of the world. Compared to last year’s Haj, the increase is 10 percent.

STC strives to proceed its continued success in transiting telephone traffic to all countries with high efficiency and quality, including mobile telephone calls on the STC network and those roaming ones from different world mobile operators.

STC also transmits the telecom traffic of other operators in the Kingdom. It will mobilize all its human and technical resources for the comfort of this year’s pilgrims and facilitate their communication with their relatives.

It will also ensure the international traffic transmission in view of the expected increase in calls from the Kingdom to the Islamic world in particular during Haj. There will be special focus on Islamic countries from where increased pilgrim numbers are expected to come.

STC stated that it is always keen to reinforce the international routes in order to transmit all international calls and ensure continuous communications according to the best world rates. It started coordination at the earliest with a large number of international carriers and operators to develop a special plan for directing international traffic on all of its routes.
