A new SR100 million specialized project in the field of cold stores and warehouses for fruits, vegetables and food products has been launched in Tabuk.
The project, stated to be one of the most important signs of the national transformation program, occupies an area of 32,000 sqm under the Industrial Cities. It aims to fulfill the region’s requirements of vegetables and fruits, providing local and imported products at affordable prices.
The project being built by Mohammed Abdullah Al-Sharbatly Company was inaugurated by Tabuk Mayor Mohamed bin Abdul Hadi Al-Amari in the presence of Ziad Al-Balawi, director of the Industrial Cities in Tabuk, officials, businessmen and media members.
Al-Amari remarked that the new project will contribute to achieving a quantum leap in the region’s food sector. “I am impressed by the project as its latest equipment and techniques will be an added value and contribute to remarkable progress,” he added.
He pointed out that the determination to implement high-end business projects helps to keep pace with the national transformation program and Vision 2030.
Al-Amari stated that the project will be part of a series of specialized projects and services that keep pace with the national transformation program aimed to focus on the diversity of sources of national income and the transformation of the existing economy based on a single commodity.
“Vision 2030 carries a lot of promises and will work to eliminate a lot of negatives in the service sector; we should ensure that the benefits from these investments and projects are for the nation and its citizens.”
Saifullah Sharbatly, director of the project implementation, said: “The factory, the first and the largest of its kind in the Middle East, is part of a series of investments estimated at SR500 million to keep pace with the aspirations of the rulers with the release of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and the national transformation program.”
