Teradata, the US-based data analytics and marketing applications company offering big data analytic solutions, integrated marketing applications and services to help organizations gain a sustainable competitive advantage with data, has announced that it is unifying technologies in order to accelerate performance and simplify the development of analytic ecosystem.

The data analytic solutions company announced both software and hardware innovations that simplify manageability of its leading Teradata-unified data architecture (UDA) and accelerate decision making by the Teradata QueryGrid.

Teradata UDA appliance is described as the first enterprise-class appliance to enable a flexible combination of the Teradata database, Teradata aster analytics and Hadoop to meet

customer workload requirements.

All software is installed into one cabinet, providing the advantages of an analytic ecosystem in a smaller data center footprint, whereas Teradata QueryGrid is the only software that optimizes analytics across the enterprise and takes an approach to multi-system analytics by giving users a seamless, self-service experience.

Stephen A. Brobst, chief technology officer, Teradata, said: "As streams of data swell and new types of analytics emerge, organizations are challenged with limited budgets and parsing the myriad of technology choices. Without an architectural vision, organizations can easily build data centers with disjointed technologies that hinder progress and Teradata addresses these challenges with the Teradata UDA, an analytic ecosystem that orchestrates technologies by taking advantage of their highly differentiated capabilities and economic benefits."

Speaking to Arab News Jamil Jeitani, GM Teradata Saudi Arabia, said: "We also actively contribute to the development of skilled resources needed to manage the data deluge and effectively leverage growing data sets to drive decision making, operational efficiency and customer experience."
