Eleven students from the Jeddah-based Thamer International School (TIS) have received awards from Cambridge International Exam, which acknowledges their outstanding performance in the May-June 2016 Cambridge exam series.

Prince Faisal bin Thamer bin Abdulaziz, chairperson of TIS, congratulated the outstanding students and expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the school’s academic director, faculty, parents and students.

The academic director said that the awards recognized the talent, dedication and commitment of both learners and staff. “This is not the first time that our school has achieved such outstanding results. The faculty and the students at TIS persevere and strive throughout the academic years, which have eventually led to consistent excellence in the field of education,” the academic director added.

Learners topping in performance will receive their Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards at a school ceremony. “The heads of the senior schools have said that it is extremely rewarding for our students and teachers who have worked tirelessly to achieve tremendous success in Cambridge IGCSE and GCE exams,” the academic director said.

The results are a reflection of the enormous talent at TIS not only among learners but also within the teaching profession. “Learners from TIS have a bright future ahead of them, and the school wishes them every success in their future endeavor,” added the director.
