McLaren Automotive retailer for Saudi Arabia, Al-Ghassan Motors, has unveiled the latest model to join the McLaren range, the 650S.

A series of exclusive launch events were held across Saudi Arabia including the British Consulate Jeddah, which was hosted by Mohammed Shokat, consul general, and Sheikh Ghassan A H Al-Sulaiman, President and CEO of Al-Ghassan Motors.

The 650S is already seeing demand beyond that which Al-Ghassan Motors can supply, with supercar owners and enthusiasts in the Kingdom placing orders since the car was first shown to the public at the Geneva Auto show in March 2014. The earliest available delivery will be toward the end of 2014.

Available in Coupé and Spider body styles from launch, the McLaren 650S joins the range as an additional model to the sold-out McLaren P1.

“The McLaren 650S represents 50 years of road and racing car know-how,’ comments Ian Gorsuch, regional director for Middle East and Africa.

“Everything we’ve learnt from the 12C and the McLaren P1™ has gone into this car,’ he said.
