BinDawood is a supermarket and hypermarket chain in Saudi Arabia. Owned by BinDawood Holding, the supermarket operates 27 stores in the Kingdom in major cities including Makkah and Madinah.
Established in 1984, BinDawood is one of the biggest supermarket and hypermarket chains in Saudi Arabia and in 2019, the store chain launched the BinDawood App, a digital e-commerce platform.
According to the 2022 Brand Finance Middle East 150 report, BinDawood’s brand value improved by a record 39.7 percent from last year. Together with its sub brand “Danube,” the companies saw the fastest-growth in brand value in the retail sector.
Both of these brands experienced various pandemic-related challenges, but saw an increase in brand value mainly driven by an increase in their Brand Strength Index (BSI) scores.
