RIYADH: Yemeni President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi lashed out at the Houthi militia operating in north Yemen for repeated attacks on Saudi border regions, depicting the practice as flagrant violation of the April 2016 truce reached between the two warring parties in Yemen.
Speaking at a meeting with his senior aides in Riyadh Wednesday, Hadi said the violations committed by the Houthi troops and forces loyal to deposed President Ali Abdullah Saleh are on the increase in all battlefields.
During the meeting, which was attended by Vice President Ali Mohsen Al-Ahmer and Prime Minister Ahmed Obaid bin Doghr, the attendees were briefed on the latest developments at the Yemeni arena, including the meetings of the UN envoy to Yemen Ismail Ould Alchieck and the conditions for the return of the Yemeni government delegation to Kuwait to resume the political consultations with the rebels under the auspices of the United Nations and Kuwait.
Doghr briefed the meeting on his recent visit to Aden, lauding the support provided for the Yemeni people by the Arab coalition, led by Saudi Arabia.
