This time, it’s the Council of Saudi Chambers. They got approval for bringing in 2 million workers to Saudi Arabia. Are those who left for being illegal on their way back? Who knows.
What I’m quite positive about is that both the Saudi Ministry of Labor and a Saudi Immigration Authority are not very happy with this news.
The simplest reason is the amount of dedication required to accomplish such a mission in such a short notice. They should get done with this by the beginning of 2014 at most.
The new obligatory procedure forces recruitment agents to offer hourly, monthly and yearly contracts. This, according to the council, will help in arranging the work status of newcomers.
So, as the number of illegal workers who left the Kingdom is approaching 2 million and rising, cash-makers made a quick move to replace illegals with qualified legal workers based on the actual need for huge developmental projects that are planned to take place up to the year 2020.
