He addressed us as his family. He always knew how to get into our hearts in the best ways. Spontaneously charismatic, honest, loving and warm hearted, he spoke to us, his people, the way we wished to be spoken to.

King Abdullah was biased to humanity; he was keen to see a serious dialogue taking place between all religions. He also believed in good education that can lead to prosperity. All Saudis smiled back when he smiled.

Why we loved King Abdullah? Why would any of us love a father who always supports moving forward and has always been there whenever he is needed?

‘Abu Miteb’, as we loved to call him, will remain alive deep in our hearts.
