JEDDAH: Under the patronage of Princess Jawaher bint Majid Al-Saud, the Disabled Children’s Association (DCA) organized “Saudi Exhibition 8” in Makkah.
The women’s festival host ed family-made arts and crafts, designers and well-known local designer garments and accessories, along with food and art booths.
The exhibition also provided an opportunity for entrepreneurs, startups and craftspeople to showcase their products to visitors.
“Their participation in the festival reflects their efforts in support of the association. It also shows their exemplary role toward charitable causes that others should follow,” said Aisha Khan, DCA media executive.
Chief guests included television presenter Fadia Al-Taweel, fashion designer Shereen Rafie and artist Sarah Al-Wadaani.
Khan said: “A large part of our efforts through such festivals is to spread awareness about disability, equip the disabled with necessary tools, and introduce the association’s aims and services to the community.”
One of the main objectives of the festival is to highlight the role of Saudi women in the commercial sector, and their ability to overcome boundaries in order to achieve success in it.
