JEDDAH: King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah has launched its third TechHub3, an annual technology event aimed at strengthening innovation and preparing students for the Kingdom’s digital economy.
Organized by the university’s faculty of computing and information technology under the theme “Empowering the Future,” the event runs until April 29 at the Academic Square campus.
The program brings together academics, industry specialists and students for more than 15 panel discussions, 19 workshops and 11 technical sessions covering artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data science, cloud computing, robotics and digital transformation.
Sanaa Abdullah Sharaf, vice dean of the faculty, said the event supports efforts to align university outcomes with labor market demands and equip students with practical skills.
She told the Saudi Press Agency that TechHub3 provides an interactive environment that combines academic knowledge with hands-on application, helping enhance graduates’ readiness for technology-driven careers.
The event also features student project exhibitions, career guidance sessions and competitions, including cybersecurity and programming challenges, aimed at encouraging innovation among young participants.
The initiative seeks to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry, expand training and employment pathways, and support emerging technology projects.
The previous edition drew more than 7,500 visitors and showcased over 100 student innovations.
The event aligns with the Saudi Vision 2030 plan to accelerate digital transformation and develop national talent.
