Less than a week after my predictions, Hilal once more disappointed us in a two-legged match with a 1-0 result in Riyadh in favor of Lakhweya from Qatar.
Hilal with a very unproductive president seems to be lost in the past three years and had one of its worse seasons. Right after the Ittihad match, the president tweeted to try to give reasons and then promised to win the match against Lakhweya. He even stated that this match is his concern, which I guess is just one of his empty promises and lame excuses.
On a happier note, Ittihad beat league champion Fateh in the semifinal first leg of the King's Cup football tournament. Ittihad showed us that there is hope even with younger and green players. So now, a second leg win for Ittihad is even more possible. On the other hand, Ahli won against Shabab 1-0 but still needs to be careful in the second leg. Meanwhile, both teams played matches yesterday in the Asian Champions League.
