An Australian exploration firm has claimed sighting wreckage from the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370. That is the latest twist in this bizarre air drama. One that never seems to end and offers no closure. By the hour it gets more absurd.
But the traces of materials found are 5,000 kms away from the current search site where the flight recorder pings were heard. What were these pings that coincided with the dying of the batteries.
So, how does it add up with this company GeoResonance pretty much hot on the trail even though they haven’t offered anything concrete yet. The plane has now been ‘spotted’ in location thousands of kilometers apart making one wonder what exactly is going on.
“The technology that we use was originally designed to find nuclear warheads and submarines. Our team in Ukraine decided we should try and help,” another company spokesman, David Pope, was quoted as saying.
Pope said they had on March 5 taken images of the site they are searching now and what they are claiming to have found now wasn’t there earlier. The MH370 diappeared March 8.
“We’re not trying to say that it definitely is MH370. However, it is a lead we feel should be followed up,” Pope added, which means they want to play safe and not raise hopes which kind of puts them in the same category as a dozen others who have seen pieces, heard sonar responses, spotted oil slicks and just about said and done whatever possible without actually locating the aircraft.
New York pilot Michael Hoebel, 60, believes that he has also found an image of the wreckage.
It is reported that after spending hours looking at images on TomNod, a crowd-sourcing website that has been sharing online satellite imagery in the hope of finding clues, he found an “image spotting debris he believes perfectly matched the dimensions of the missing plane.”
But that is in another location so really, where is this aircraft and how did it get where it got? No one seems to know enough to give a reasonable answer, not even the experts who are completely at sea…literally. Perhaps everyone should just shut up till they find it and stop these periodical updates and give hope when there is none to give.
