Isn’t it incredible? We can send drones to kill off people by their hundreds. We can dispatch whole armies to ensure despots stay in power. But over 200 schoolgirls get kidnapped and what do we get? A placard holding First Lady saying “Bring back our girls” which must scare the heck out of the Boko Haram and now Prime Minister David Cameron upping the ante and promising to dispatch to Nigeria a Brit surveillance aircraft and a military team to help in the search.

He said Britain has worked with Nigeria on counter-terrorism and is “willing to do more”, particularly if it can ensure that “proper processes are in place to deal with human rights issues”.

Surely, the Nigerians have a plane in their air force and some soldiers.What big deal is this?

The point is now everyone is saying that the leader of this nut group is a big nut job himself and on drugs and deranged and the FBI has $7 million bounty on his head. If he is off that head and in need of psychiatric help and his cackling madness comes off clearly in his threatening broadcasts and even Nigerian troops are so scared of him that they shot at their own commander rather than move into BH territory, how is one plane going to help.Talk about window dressing.

Just satellite the chap’s hideouts, use the imagery and knock him off. Send those drones.Stop waffling.

It is extremely doubtful that he is actually planning to release these girls. Having threatened to sell them into slavery unless all militant prisoners are released this lunatic is scarcely keeping them in the cocoon of comfort.

Neglecting the Boko Haram all these years is the single largest reason for this tragedy. Everyone is now offering insight after the fact but as the murder toll was mounting to 7,000 and running where was everyone?

Let’s be honest here. No one except the families really give atoss beyond a “tut tut.” Not even the UN or NATO or any billionaire who might want to finance a rescue operation and cover himself in glory. This man Abubaker Shekau, thought to be in his late 30s or early 40s, is America’s most wanted man in Africa. It’s the largest-ever reward offered for someone in Africa. But all we are getting is one surveillance aircraft...one.

By comparison, the FBI placed a $25 million bounty on Osama. And at a quarter as dangerous as Osama he gets this one plane to go after him while the US spent trillions to go after Osama.

“He seems to want to distinguish himself by the depth of his brutality,” former US State Department counterterrorism chief Daniel Benjamin said.Shekau was second in command of Boko Haram for years, finally grabbing control after police killed leader Mohammad Yusuf in 2009 and he has evaded capture for five years. Smart or fruitcake? Hard to tell. All that is known for sure is this man’s killing spree is not going to stop so suggest the western world do something concrete before they become his target and that is very possible a scenario. It would get this killer the attention he craves.

He’s been declared dead — and “risen again” — multiple times, may very well be insane and doesn’t hesitate to use terror.

Even his mom says he is cuckoo…yeah, now we have the sanction…go for it.
