Minister of Education Prince Faisal bin Abdullah and Turkish counterpart Omer Dincer Saturday explored means of bolstering cooperation between the two countries, notably on how to use IT in sustainable development, education and nurturing young people.
In a meeting held at the Turkish minister’s office in Istanbul, Prince Faisal said the joint cooperation comes as an extension of deeply rooted ties between the Kingdom and Turkey in different areas.
The prince stressed the importance of education for children, who he said are the real future of nations.
He added the next stage would see an exchange of visits to determine areas of cooperation between the two ministries.
On his part, the Turkish Minister touched on the development of education in his country through a series of programs exploiting latest technologies to serve education.
He said his ministry has provided curricula, courses and e-portals offering educational materials.
Students and teachers could visit these links and get what they need with regard to science, knowledge and expertise.
The system allows online communication between students, teachers and family members, he pointed out.
