The Quint: Sikh Human Rights Activist Charanjeet Singh Shot Dead in Pakistan

May 30: The Quint states that Charanjeet Singh, a Sikh community leader and human rights activist, was shot dead in broad daylight by bike borne assailants in Pakistan’s Peshawar, multiple reports said on Tuesday, 29 May. The incident happened at Scheme Chowk, Budhbir area of Peshawar, when Singh was sitting in his shop, Pakistan media reported. The killers fled immediately. Singh moved to Peshawar nearly 20 years back and was a respected leader in the region.
