Hezbollah’s evil intentions exposed

Before writing this column, I remembered reading an article by Saudi columnist Sulaiman Abahusain, who is the deputy editor in chief of Alyaum newspaper. The article dwelt on the historical relations between Saudis and the Iranian people in the past and how Iran became a bully and a threat to the region. Hezbollah is one of Tehran’s evil tools.
Since the inception of Hezbollah in the early 1980s as a religious militia, Saudi scholars have warned the Muslim world of its intentions and future plans. Every Saudi grand mufti had warned of the party’s intention and what damage they could cause to the Arab and Muslim Ummah. The leader
of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, announced on many occasions that his loyalty is to Iran not his own country, Lebanon. To gain the maximum popularity and news coverage many years before the information technology, Hezbollah played on the most sensitive issue in the Arab world — being the number one enemy of the state of Israel and American imperialism. But many people knew the party’s real intention. Many Arab writers have written that in order to be popular and an instant hero among the Arab masses, just shout as loud as you can against Israel no matter how many people you put in harm’s way. And this is what Hassan Nasrallah did. Being the leader of Hezbollah, he had dragged the region to the verge of war many times just to gain popularity and used this ruse to promote his agenda. Ironically, he succeeded in gaining support from many people in the Arab world. Among the noted personalities who sided with Hezbollah was one of the most influential religious figures in the Arab and Muslim world, Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi. Qaradawi, an Egyptian, has been living in Qatar for a long time. He has millions of followers who take heed of his fatwas. Many Saudi religious figures had warned Qaradawi of the intention of Hezbollah and its future plans to divide the Muslim world. Hezbollah’s financial supporter and mentor is Iran and Tehran has its own agenda. Hezbollah’s agenda was not to fight Israel but to divide the Muslim world and establish Iran’s hegemony in the region. Domination of the Muslim world was Iran’s main goal since the 1979 revolution.
Iranian clerics wanted to rule the Muslim world, and to advance their design they formed Hezbollah. Saudi grand muftis were always aware of their intentions and had warned the Muslim world about them.
The Arab Spring shook many countries. Hezbollah played its role to divide the Muslim world at the behest of Iran and took part in the killing of many Syrians. Now people in the Muslim world have realized that Hezbollah’s intentions are evil.
Sheikh Qaradawi also became aware of Hezbollah’s intentions and admitted that the scholars and religious figures in Saudi Arabia were right in their stance against Hezbollah. He acknowledged his error in taking an anti-Saudi stance on Hezbollah and said that the Saudi Ulema are more mature in their judgments concerning the intentions of Iran and Hezbollah. He declared last Friday in Doha that Hezbollah comprises a bunch of liars.
Saudi Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdul Aziz Al-Asheikh pointed to the ill intentions of Hezbollah and their role in dividing the Muslim world since the day of its establishment. He called for unity among Muslims and their joint efforts to stop Hezbollah and its supporters fighting against the people of Syria.
After Qaradawi’s speech and comments by the Saudi grand mufti, many people started asking questions about the history of Hezbollah.
Hezbollah was formed in the southern part of Lebanon by those who had welcomed Israeli soldiers when they invaded Southern Lebanon on June 6, 1982. During the Lebanese civil war one could see switching of alliances by the day. It is a fact that the founders of Hezbollah were the ones who wanted to drive the Palestinians out of Lebanon and had welcomed the Israeli invasion. But when the Israelis stayed longer than the strategic military plans, Hezbollah switched its alliance to the side of Iran and Syria. Hezbollah started as a small group and it was a golden opportunity for Syria and Iran to capitalize on this group fighting Israel on their behalf just to gain popularity. To this day, many people in Iran question Tehran’s involvement in the Middle East affairs. The answer is simple — to distract the attention of the Iranian people from the country’s internal burgeoning problems.
Iran could have been one of the most influential economic countries in the world and did not need a militia like Hezbollah. Iran should have used its assets to help the Iranian economy instead of trying to divide a country like Lebanon and interfere in other countries’ affairs. Iran chose to be isolated from the world. On the other hand, Saudi Arabia always demonstrated its good intention toward Iran and tried to maintain good relations with the country, but the Iranians always posed threat to the region by their evil actions. As for Hezbollah and its leader Hassan Nasrallah, now their evil intentions are exposed.
